Privacy Policy

Last Revised: 2026-07-03

This Privacy Policy explains how ToolMagic ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit ToolMagic.app, contact support, purchase access, or use our browser extensions for social media backup, export, analytics, personal productivity, and research (together, the "Service").

Information You Provide

We may collect information you choose to provide, such as:

  • your name, email address, and support messages;
  • purchase, license, or order details;
  • information you send when asking for help, reporting a bug, or requesting a refund;
  • feedback, suggestions, or other messages you choose to send.

We do not ask for your social media passwords. Do not send us passwords, private authentication codes, or unnecessary personal data in support requests.

Extension and Export Data

Our browser extensions help you export data that is available to you through your browser session or public platform pages. This may include follower lists, following lists, posts, comments, profile fields, public identifiers, public emails, timestamps, or other data shown by the relevant social platform.

Many export workflows are generated in your browser and saved by you as files such as CSV spreadsheets. Unless a feature clearly states otherwise, exported social media files are controlled by you after export. You are responsible for storing, securing, sharing, or deleting those files.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use our website or extensions, we may collect limited technical and usage information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service. This may include browser type, device information, extension version, pages visited on our website, approximate location derived from IP address, error logs, feature usage, timestamps, and diagnostic data.

Payments

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We may receive payment status, order identifiers, subscription or license information, billing email, and related transaction metadata. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for basic functionality, analytics, fraud prevention, and performance measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some website features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

We may use analytics providers to understand website traffic, product interest, and feature usage. Analytics data helps us improve the Service and support customers.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • process purchases, licenses, refunds, and support requests;
  • troubleshoot bugs, crashes, export failures, and account issues;
  • communicate with you about support, updates, and service notices;
  • protect the Service against misuse, fraud, and security risks;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, and payment obligations.

How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • service providers that help with hosting, analytics, email, customer support, payments, licensing, security, or error monitoring;
  • payment providers when needed to process purchases, refunds, disputes, taxes, or fraud checks;
  • authorities, regulators, or third parties when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety, or security;
  • a successor or buyer if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets;
  • others with your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell your exported social media files as a data broker.

Third-Party Platforms

Our extensions may interact with third-party platforms such as X/Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, browser extension stores, payment providers, and analytics services. Those services are not owned or controlled by ToolMagic. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, support customers, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and the reason we collected it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should also protect exported files, browser profiles, and devices under your control.

Your Choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other assistance with personal information we hold about you. You may also uninstall our browser extensions, clear browser storage, delete exported files, unsubscribe from non-essential emails where available, or adjust browser cookie settings.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last Revised" date above. Your continued use of the Service after a revised policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
